    Q: How to service the front door window regulator and power window motor on Ford Flex?
    A: The service procedure of front door window motors requires de-initialization of the LF window motor in three situations; when the motor leaves the window regulator drum housing, after new window regulator installation, or when installing new window glass or top run, or when lubricating the window regulator or glass run. The customer should start by uninstalling the window control switch before the front door speaker and should set the water shield to the side. Install only the window control switch temporarily to let the window glass down while you access the locking tabs of the glass-to-regulator clamp. A suitable tool enables you to press each locking tab while lifting the glass upwards to separate it from the regulator clamp easily. To achieve proper clamping the glass should be pressed downward until it generates an audible notification that demonstrates correct seating. Begin by taping the window at its highest position before disconnecting the motor electrical connector and removing the fasteners and motor assembly while tightening the fasteners to 11 Nm (97 lb-in). The reverse removal steps must be used for installation alongside new LF window regulator and motor initializations but the original LF window motor will need to be both de-initialized then initialized.
