  Q: How to reseal a windshield on Ford Flex?

  A: The windshield resealing process starts with uninstalling external A-pillar window mouldings and upper cowl panel grille and A-pillar trim panels as well as overhead console and passenger front assist handle. After separating the LH and RH sun visors with their clips you must lower the front headliner section before securely supporting it with proper materials. Use glass cleaner to properly clean all surfaces of the windshield glass both on the inside and outside. The urethane adhesive applicator tip requires cutting to 6 mm (0.24 in) length before using it in conjunction with a high-ratio electric or battery-operated caulk gun to create a smooth adhesive application without gaps between beads. Squeeze the urethane adhesive over the current urethane covering both top and side areas of the windshield within the vehicle cabin and across its bottom edge while outside. The urethane adhesive will reach satisfactory adhesion following at least one hour of cure time before you carry out air and water leak tests.
