You should slide the blower motor resistor to the right side and lift it upward for detachment from the housing. When the blower motor resistor fails to secure properly it can be installed with a back up screw boss installed in the heater core and evaporator core housing. The installation process for the new blower motor resistor requires following the steps in reverse order from removal.
