How to service the blower motor resistor on Ford Focus?

The service process for the blower motor resistor begins with putting down the glove compartment then removing the electrical connector. The detachment of the blower motor resistor from its housing requires first sliding it to the right while lifting it upward until removal. The blower motor resistor arrives without an included mounting screw and the package includes a back up screw boss for installation when the resistor fails to clip properly on the housing between heater core and evaporator core. The installer should perform the installation by reversing the removal method.
