How to Service the Crankshaft Position Sensor on Ford Freestar?

In order to service the Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor, set the vehicle in neutral on a hoist. Disconnect the battery ground connector, as well as the CKP sensor connector. Take off the two CKP sensor bolts, clamping them to 7 Nm (62 lb-in) when replacing them. Once the CKP sensor is removed, just install it by reversing the steps that were taken to remove it.
