To maintain the trunk or liftgate hinge: disconnect the electrical connector, pull off lift hinge bolts and cylinder. When necessary, strip away sealer surrounding luggage compartment lid hinge, and strip away nuts and hinge. To install, use fresh sealer when taken off, then reverse off procedure to complete.
