When servicing the brake load sensor proportioning valve on a 4-door sedan, minus ABS, make sure that the fuel tank is at least 3/4 full. Lift the car, undo the screw of the valve adjuster sleeve, mount a vacuum hose which is cut into rubber and fits on the valve rod and screw the screw again and lower the car.
