How to Service the Crankshaft Position Sensor on Ford Taurus?

Removal To service the CKP sensor, the vehicle should be hoisted in neutral and the battery ground cable disconnected. Take out the electrical connector and two fastening bolts of the CKP sensor. Install the new sensor by screwing the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb-in) and reversing the steps of removal in order to finish the installation.
