How to remove and install the front floor Center Console Base on Ford Taurus X?

You have to take off two components to access the front floor console: the floor shifter trim ring and the floor console center finish panel. Turn loose the two boomers that attach the floor console to the instrument panel but make sure they reach 5 Nm (44 lb-in) when putting them back in. Insert the left and right finish panels of the floor console into their positions and push them in at the front of the Dylock pad. First pull the front bolts of the floor console then move the front seats forward before detaching the two rear bolts. Realign the front seats to the back position and detach the three electrical plugs until you remove the floor console. You need only follow the steps backward to reinstall the part.
