How to service the hood latch on Ford Taurus X?

Before servicing the hood latch position needs to be marked first, users should detach the two bolt securements then keep the hood latch next to them to reach the hood latch release cable. Problem solving requires disconnecting the release cable and afterward removing the hood latch. Reverse the removal process then fasten the bolts to 12 Nm (106 lb-in) torque. Verify the hood latch alignment after hood latch installation.
