First disconnect the air cleaner outlet pipe then take off the five coolant hoses from the thermostat housing before placing them carefully to the side. Proceed with the three thermostat housing bolt removal then secure them with 10 Nm (89 lb-in) torque upon completion. The coolant tube should never be pulled from the engine block during thermostat housing separation because it could cause damage so follow the proper procedure of detaching the housing from the tube and taking out the entire unit. To install replace the discarded O-ring seals with fresh ones by lubricating them with clean engine coolant following the removal steps in reverse order. The completion of the service requires you to perform coolant system filling and bleeding.
