How to service and repair the A/C Switch in the climate control assembly on Lincoln Aviator?

In order to replace the climate control unit, detach cup holder, bezel screw, and electrical connectors. Somewhat loosen the shift control bezel and then unscrew the instrument panel cover and three screws that hold the assembly together. De-electricify and de-assemble. Installation is in reverse order.
