Repair - To repair the A/C expansion valve, remove the refrigerant, disconnection of the harness and line fittings and valve, which includes O-rings thrown away. Install new O-rings which are lubricated with mineral oil with the correct PAG oil. Evacuate, leak test and charge system. Only in case it is contaminated, replace the receiver/drier.

How to service the A/C Expansion Valve on Lincoln Aviator?

In case of A/C expansion valve, recover the refrigerant in order to service it. Mineral oil F73Z-19577-AA is not to be used as compressor lubricant, but to lubricate O-ring seals. PG oil F7AZ-19D589-DA should be used on the compressor. Only change the receiver/drier when contaminated. Install new O-rings, lubricate using clean PAG oil, evacuate, leak check and charge.
