How to Service and Repair the Automatic Transmission Shifter on Lincoln Aviator?

In order to fix the transmission selector lever, you remove the console access panels, switch module and the bezel. Remove console finish plate and back half of center console. Unhook the shift cable and electrical connector and pull out the shifter bolts and re-attach with 7 Nm tightening. Lastly, pull out the selector lever assembly and re-install it.
