Before starting the LF door window motor operation the inspection for window system obstructions must be completed. The proportional up/down mode of LF window motor operation continues until initialization finished because this step required in all instances when a motor leaves its housing or when new hardware is installed alongside new glass or when adding lubricants to the system. The LF window works only after complete installation and proper tightening of window glass and
Window Regulator and window motor and glass top run before initialization starts. The limited functionality of the LF window motor occurs when the initialization process is not finished properly. Proceed with the ignition key in OFF state after enabling the LF door to open. Press the front window control switch (LF) to AUTO position during ON engine state six successive times. Rephrase the front window control switch (LF) to the AUTO position six times after turning off the ignition key when the LF door remains open. Initiation of the initialization mode can be observed as the LF window glass performs a downward then upward movement twice to three times with minor travel distance of 2-3 mm (0.1 in). This occurs when the ignition key reaches ON position after closing the LF door. Press and hold the front window control switch (LF) to the UP position while the window glass stalls against the upper header seal. Briefly push the switch to DOWN to enable one-touch down until the window stops at the bottom. The front window control switch (LF) should remain in the UP position until glass ends its travel against the upper header seal while the down-up sequence completes successfully. The LF window needs its function verification through one-touch down, one-touch up, proportional down and proportional up testing before repeating the initialization in case of operation problems.
