The procedure to disconnect fuel lines or components should start with releasing fuel system pressure before beginning because the fuel pressure remains high even after engine shutdown. Start by freeing the fuel pressure before uninstalling the upper intake manifold. Seamlessly disconnect the vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator before pulling out the snap ring and removing the fuel pressure regulator. Discard the old O-ring seals. When installing this component it is necessary to follow the uninstallation process in reverse order while using new O-ring seals from a special fuel-resistant material instead of regular ones which could lead to leaks.
