Tighten and reinstall the two front parking brake cable floor plate bolts at 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs) torque. Release pressure from the parking brake cable through equalizer adjustment nut loosening then detach the right-hand parking brake cable from the equalizer by squeezing its tabs to remove it from the bracket. Rear all-wheel drive vehicles require removal of the wheel speed sensor bolt followed by its placement aside while tightening it back to 7 Nm (62 lb-in) during reinstallation.
