How to service and repair the rear sway bar link on Lincoln MKX?

Start the service and repair of rear sway bar and link operations by positioning the vehicle in NEUTRAL at a hoist station. After discarding the upper nuts from the sway bar link you should install the new link while tightening each nut to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs). Next remove and throw away the lower nuts of the sway bar link while extracting sway bar links for installation where new nuts should be tightened to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs). Following the removal of the sway bar bracket nuts discard them before removing the bar brackets together with the sway bar and tightening new nuts at 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs). Check the sway bar bushings before installing new ones whenever there is a need for replacement. The last step is to perform the removal process in reverse order to finish installing the components. Correct retention of critical suspension components depends on the use of new parts with same part numbers along with proper torque value adherence during reassembly.
