How to service the intake air duct on Lincoln Town Car?

Service the intake air duct by taking off the engine appearance cover and its retainer followed by lifting the cover forward. Start the intake air duct service by taking out the nut that maintains the air cleaner outlet tube and resonator assembly and the crankcase ventilation hose in that order. The service of the intake air duct begins with initial disconnecting of the idle air control (IAC) valve inlet hose by unclamping it followed by complete removal of the air cleaner outlet tube and resonator assembly by unclamping it for a second time. The reverse order should be followed when installing the removed components.
