How to service the rear brake pads on Lincoln Town Car?

The brake pad service process for the rear system starts by taking out the tire assembly along with the wheel. Hang the caliper only by the brake hose and keep it from touching anything in order to protect the components. The procedure requires the removal of bolts followed by lifting off the caliper from its anchor plate position. The brake pads must remain free from grease, oil, brake fluid and other contaminating substances. Dismantle the brake pads until they push inside and rotate upward.
