How to Service the Heated Oxygen Sensor on Lincoln Town Car?

Initiate service of the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) by hoisting the vehicle into neutral gear position. First disconnect power from the right high HO2S electrical connector before removing the left high HO2S connectors. To remove sensors easily you should apply penetrating and lock lubricant on their threads followed by sensor disassembly. The Exhaust Gas Oxygen Sensor Socket is needed to take out the RH or LH HO2S based on requirements. The proper torque wrench mechanism must be determined for installation before securing the sensor with a 40 Nm (30 lb-ft) tightness. You should apply an anti-seize lubricating layer on HO2S threads after performing the removal operations in reverse order.
