How to service the wiper arm on Lincoln Town Car?

Disconnection of the battery must happen before servicing the wiper arm. First detach the cowl panel grilles before removing the mounting and pivot shaft assembly nuts and bolts. Set the wiper assembly to one side for service. Disconnect the electrical connection of the wiper before separating the wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft combination. Proceed with installation by first fitting the wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft assembly then link the electrical connector followed by tight installation of nuts and bolts at 12 Nm (106 lb-in). To finish replace the cowl panel grilles then install the battery and inspect wiper pivot arm positioning.
