  A: Begin the starter motor service operation by taking out the battery tray. The starter motor solenoid wire requires a wire nut removal before the wire gets placed safely aside. Reassemble the wire after service with 5 Nm (44 lb-in) torque specification. Set the starter motor solenoid terminal battery cable cover to the side and take out the battery cable nut before setting the cable out of the way for reinstallation with a torque of 12 Nm (9 lb-ft). Tighten the two starter motor bolts to 27 Nm (20 lb-ft) after removing the starter motor for reinstalling because this completes the maintenance procedure. After maintenance the installation should end by executing the reverse removal steps while verifying protective caps remain in position until all work is finished.
