How to service and repair the clutch pressure plate on Mercury Cougar?

To repair the pressure plate of the clutch, remove flywheel dowels when it has an open hole costly using drift pin when it has a hole, and for blind holes, with the help of locking pliers. To install make sure the dowels are driven into position and it is important not to damage any surrounding surface using brass or plastic mallet.
