Detaching the accelerator cable starts by taking off its retaining clip while separating it from both the bracket and throttle body. The next step involves disconnection of the throttle position sensor electrical connector for removal of the throttle body assembly along with removing the throttle body gasket. Installation should not include cleaning the throttle body because its special coating needs to stay intact. The installation process requires the reverse sequence of removal steps until the new throttle body gasket is properly attached.
