All vehicles come with gas-pressured shock absorbers that will automatically extend during service thus applying heat or flame to the shock absorber tube must be avoided. Shock absorbers can be installed independently from one another when only one is required for replacement. Enable the vehicle's air suspension service switch to maintain control over unexpected air spring change while the vehicle is being hoisted or towed. Securely support the vehicle by applying it to an elevated height before disabling the air suspension service switch. The reaction requires a proper jack system to maintain the rear axle during maintenance. Disassemble the shock absorber by first removing its nut while discarding both the nut and washer. After unfastening the shock absorber with its bolt and nut you should remove those components and discard the bolts. The installation process requires following the opposite order of removal steps.
