  A: Start the fuel pump module service and repair process by taking out the fuel tank. Rework the connection of the pressure transducer connector which is situated at the top rear corner of the fuel tank before cleaning all areas around the fuel pump mounting flange. Remove the fuel pump bolted down with care toward the float arm as well as filter to discard the mounting gasket. A new fuel pump mounting gasket should be placed on the mounting flange after cleaning both the fuel pump mounting flange and the tank mounting surface. Follow specific steps by first using a star pattern to tighten the bolts and then place the fuel pump inside the fuel tank and finally install the bolts. Reinstall the fuel tank by completing the connection of the pressure transducer connector.
