Mercury Marauder Throttle Position Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to service the Throttle Position Sensor on Mercury Marauder?
    A:
Service of the Throttle Position Sensor requires starting with battery ground cable removal. The service of the Idle Air Control (IAC) sensor requires disconnecting its electrical connectors together with those of the Throttle Position (TP) sensor. Untighten the bolts holding the IAC sensor and proceed to remove first the IAC sensor and then the bolts. The first step should be the removal of TP sensor bolts before extracting the TP sensor. Reinstallation of the components should proceed in the opposite order of removal.
