Service of the hood latch begins with removing the hood latch nut and noting the hood latch position before uninstalling both hood latch bolts. The hood latch removal process begins by removing the two bolts but before that the hood latch and cable conduit need to be taken out followed by disconnecting the cable. When installing the hood latch position both the hood latch release cable to the hood latch and verify proper cable connection while also confirming the cable conduit engagement. Check the hood latch adjustment by aligning it with the previously marked position then secure the two bolts at 9 Nm torque strength. Finish the installation by placing the hood latch nut then fasten it to 5 Nm (44 lb-inch).
