How to Service the Sunroof Air Deflector on Mercury Montego?

The sunroof or moonroof windguard servicing requires you to move the roof opening panel glass to its FULL OPEN state. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to push down the spring steel locating tabs at each side while moving the deflector toward the rear of the vehicle from the top of the vehicle. Although removing the air deflector requires tilting it upward first before pulling it forward. Follow the reverse order of removal to install the deflector through its proper placement of the locating tabs.
