To clean and repair the thermostat, you have to start with the cooling system being emptied and the thermostat hoses being disconnected. Then unscrew the three bolts and take off the cover of the thermostat. Next, extract the thermostat. In order to install, one just has to invert those steps and replenish the cooling system.
