How to Service and Repair the A/C Switch in the HVAC Control Assembly on Mercury Villager?

The service and repair operation for HVAC control assembly starts by removing the battery ground cable. Start by unlocking the two locking tabs of the ashtray/cup holder assembly before disconnecting the electrical connector. First detach the console cover by unplugging its four pin-type retainers. Start by detaching the instrument panel center finish panel through the process of unscrewing it and removing its cigarette lighter electrical connector. The control head should be detached through unscrewing it and extraction while noting the presence of Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (EATC) though the manual version follows a similar procedure. Pull out the electrical connectors which serve the control head device. The installation procedure must be performed in reverse order of removal steps.
