How to service and repair the thermostat housing on Mercury Villager?

To fix the thermostat housing, drain the cooling system, take off the upper radiator and water bypass hoses and undo the housing bolts. Wipe down surfaces, place a silicone gasket down and fit new hose clamps. Lastly, undo the steps of the removal to install.
