How to service the rear wiper motor on Mercury Villager?

Service of the rear wiper motor begins with rear pivot arm removal through the process of disconnecting the rear washer hose and depressing the locking clip at the base of the arm followed by pulling it up and off. Begin by removing successively the rear wiper motor shaft nut cover and rear wiper motor shaft nut before taking out the rear wiper motor shaft collar and seal. To reach the rear wiper motor through the liftgate trim panel removal step you will need to disconnect the electrical connector while unfastening the motor. First remove the motor then uninstall the rear wiper motor bracket by taking out its bolts for transfer. The service completion requires you to execute the installation process in the opposite direction of the removal steps.
