You should start the repair process for the rear sway bar kit and link by taking off both tire and wheel assemblies. Proceed with bar and link service and repair according to the illustration and table guidelines. After sway bar kit detachment, ensure you protect the boot during ball joint separation from the knuckle by unnutting and removing the right-hand upper ball joint. The hose should never support the brake caliper to avoid damage, so remove the bolts and then set the brake caliper aside. Users must first unclip the vapor line from the fuel tank, followed by sway bar kit removal from the right-hand side of the vehicle. Minimum steps for component installation include the reverse order of component removal.

The sway bar link service requires removal and discarding of the two Sway Bar Kit nuts and grommets followed by the Sway Bar Kit stud extraction. Reinstall the Sway Bar Kit studs then tighten them to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). The next step requires removing two sway bar links before thoroughly checking and cleaning the mating surfaces and internal threads while removing all foreign material and thread locking compound. Remove the four Sway Bar Kit-to-frame bolts because replacement with new hardware is required before tightening them to 70 Nm (52 ft. lbs.) torque specification. The next step requires removing both Sway Bar Kit brackets and the Sway Bar Kit from its position. You should check the bushings for signs of wear or damage then replace them if needed before removing the two sway bar bushings. The installation ends by following the removal steps backward while using fresh Sway Bar Kit-to-frame bolts together with new Sway Bar Kit nuts and grommets.

Discard the two stabilizer bar-to-link nuts and remove the two stabilizer bar studs, tightening the new ones to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.) upon installation.
