    Q:
How to Ensure Proper Functioning of the Brake Booster on a Ford Mustang? Posted by Customer
    A:
When repairing or servicing the vacuum brake booster start with disconnecting the battery ground cable. First remove the air cleaner housing together with brake master cylinder nuts before positioning the brake master cylinder to the side. The vacuum hose needs removing after first pressing the brake pedal several times when the vehicle is engine off to empty the accumulator. The service and maintenance steps for the vacuum brake booster start with pin removal from the stoplight switch then switch removal and brake pedal pin removal along with the push rod. The power brake booster requires its nuts to be removed followed by removing the complete unit. To install the component apply the opposite steps used during removal.
