To work on the manual transaxle console items you must first take off the gearshift knob followed by the spring and damping sleeve. Lift out the gearshift lever boot before you detach the rear screws from the floor console. Lift up the armrest when accessing it if the vehicle has one else take out the cup holder located at the back. First get rid of the ashtray and cigar lighter bezel parts and after that pull out the stowage tray by pushing on the power socket opening. Open the parking brake fully before disconnecting the front floor console screws and taking out the entire console. Unplug the cigar lighter/power socket power connection only when it is present. To reinstall the components follow the steps in reverse order.

You need to uninstall the gearshift knob first then separate the spring and damping sleeve before the manual transaxle vehicles. You need to remove the gearshift lever boot then unscrew the rear screws that connect the console base. If you have the armrest option raise it while taking consoles without an armrest apart from the rear cup holder. Take out both ashtray and cigar lighter bezel components before pushing down the power socket opening to pull out the stowage tray. Remove the first screws from the floor console front then lift the parking brake lever completely to extract the console while unplugging the cigar lighter/power socket connector. Repeat the steps you took to detach the unit during installation.

Take out the ash tray and cigar lighter bezel if present, followed by the stowage tray by pushing down on the power socket aperture and pulling it out.

Detach the overdrive switch terminals from the electrical connector and take off the selector lever indicator bezel.
