To service the floor console, engage the parking brake and shift to neutral for manual transmissions. Move seats forward, remove two rear bolts (tighten to 7 Nm), then shift seats back. Remove trim rings, storage bin, finish panel, disconnect electrical connectors, and remove eight bolts to take out the console.

How to remove and reinstall the Center Console Base on Mercury Grand Marquis?

To access the floor console, disconnect the finish panel, storage and the power point connector. Disassemble the transmission selectors lever, take out the bolts and the console bolts. Pull the console back to pull out. Installation Re-Installation requires an inversion of the procedure with every part firmly attached.
