The Electronic Brake Control Module service process requires the disconnect of the battery ground cable as its first step. Start by unscrewing both screws that fasten the anti-lock brake control module and remove it from its position. After disconnecting and reconnecting the battery the vehicle may show unusual driving behavior while it adapts its strategies through a process that needs at least 16 km (10 mi) of driving. Completion of the installation requires performing the uninstallation steps in reverse order.
