    The service of the rear cross-member begins by properly raising the vehicle while providing support. First remove the two exhaust hanger bolts before torquing them to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft) when reinstalling the bolts. The next step involves removing heat shield bolts followed by a proper tightening of these bolts to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft) at reinstallation. The transmission needs supporting by a proper jack before removing its two support nuts that should receive a torque of 103 Nm (76 lb-ft) during installation. The following step requires removing four transmission support crossmember bolts which need 90 Nm (66 lb-ft) torque for reinstallation. For the final step reinstall the transmission support crossmember by following the reversal of the removal process.
