Start the LH exhaust manifold service process by taking away the radiator fan motor with shroud and unplugging the Heated Oxygen Sensor (H02S). Then start by removing the exhaust manifold heat shield through bolt removal and properly putting the oil level indicator tube out of the way. The first step is to remove the A/C compressor drive belt through bolt adjustment of the tensioner and the belt tension adjuster. The compressor needs to be relocated aside through bolt removal of four pieces. The LH exhaust manifold nuts must be removed by using the two-step method in the specified order before you raise the vehicle and take off the engine splash shield. You must detach the exhaust manifold to outlet pipe nuts while removing the exhaust heat shield by unbolt its mount. Start by removing the bolts from the RH exhaust manifold to the engine lifting eye hook bracket and then finish with all of the three nuts and the exhaust manifold. Discard the exhaust manifold gasket. Start by laying the new exhaust manifold gasket in place before installing the exhaust manifold with its supporting three nuts. Reinstall the RH exhaust manifold to engine lifting eye hook bracket by using the bolts while installing the exhaust heat shield and its bolts afterward. After installing the exhaust manifold to outlet pipe nuts you can mount the engine splash shield and lower the vehicle. Fasten the LH exhaust manifold nuts according to their placement order before you mount and secure the A/C compressor using bolts. The A/C compressor drive belt requires adjustment while the exhaust manifold heat shield should be installed along with the correct placement of the oil level indicator tube before bolting it into position. The process ends by reattaching the H02S electrical connector before reinstalling the radiator fan motor and its shroud.

Reposition the A/C compressor drive belt and adjust its tension.

Position and bolt the right-hand exhaust manifold to engine lifting eye bracket.
