Service of the muffler and tailpipe begins by fitting the vehicle onto a hoist in the NEUTRAL position. Position the vehicle slip on a hoist into NEUTRAL while you use a suitable jackstand to stabilize muffler and tailpipe. After that loosen the Torca® clamp nut. Reinstall the clamp while tightening it to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft). For muffler and tailpipe removal the isolators need careful attention to prevent breakage; applying soapy water will help detach the three isolators and extract the muffler and tailpipe assembly from the vehicle. The installation process requires the return of removal steps while replacing gaskets and nuts along with inspections for replacements of any damaged isolators. The engine start-up should be followed by exhaust leak testing.

Service and repair operations on the exhaust intermediate pipe require a vehicle position on a hoist set to NEUTRAL mode. Uninstall the two gasket-secured exhaust flange nuts which also require discarding. New installation of exhaust nuts should reach 40 Nm torque at 30 lb-ft. After loosening the Torca clamp nut proceed with tightening it to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft). The exhaust intermediate pipe needs to be separated from the muffler and tailpipe before extracting it. The installation process involves performing a reverse order of removal while using new gaskets together with exhaust fasteners. It is necessary to begin the engine while verifying that no exhaust leaks exist.
