Service and repair operations for the exhaust pipe start with placing the vehicle in NEUTRAL position on a hoist. First remove the Torca coupler before disconnecting the muffler inlet pipe from its connection to the catalytic converter assembly and discard the Torca component. First disconnect the muffler from the muffler inlet pipe by loosening the muffler clamp before taking out the intermediate pipe from the vehicle. The muffler fitting process begins with mounting it into the isolators while applying a new exhaust clamp. Position the intermediate pipe into the muffler followed by installing a fresh Torca coupler onto the intermediate section while directing its converter button to fit the corresponding muffler notch. Install the exhaust clamp in a position up to but not crossing the bottom of the notches and torque it to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.). Sliding the muffler forward to ensure that the pipe fully exits inside the coupler while checking that the intermediate pipe correctly fits within the coupler with its knurled section at the coupler lip. The coupler nuts need tightening in equal turns at 10 Nm force (89 inch lbs.) until they reach their final torque rating of 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).

The first step to maintain or fix the muffler inlet pipe involves having the vehicle positioned on a hoist with NEUTRAL gear selected. You need to start by disconnecting and removing the exhaust coupler while you take off the intermediate pipe from its position on the catalytic converter assembly. After this step discard the exhaust coupler. The service starts when you loosen and detach the muffler clamp to get the intermediate pipe separated from the muffler. Finally, take the intermediate pipe out of the vehicle. Install the new intermediate pipe by using a new exhaust clamp which should be tightened to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.) but kept below the bottom of the notches. Make sure the pipe fully enters the coupler by pushing the muffler forward and confirm that the intermediate pipe has the correct position where the knurled section faces the coupler lip. Place the new exhaust coupler onto the intermediate pipe and guide it to the catalytic converter while pushing it down until the converter button fits into the notch of the pipe. End the exhaust coupling process through proper nut tightening while alternating the torque in 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) quantities up to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).

Loosen the muffler clamp and disconnect the muffler from the intermediate pipe before removing the intermediate pipe from the vehicle.

Place the new exhaust coupler over the intermediate pipe and position it to the catalytic converter, sliding it into place until the converter button is seated into the intermediate pipe notch.
