Intermediate Pipe, Front

Service and repair operations on the exhaust intermediate pipe start with positioning the vehicle on a hoist system when it is in NEUTRAL gear. Users should install a new coupling during their work with the exhaust Y-pipe dual catalytic converter-to-exhaust intermediate pipe coupling before tightening it. Detach the coupling seal then place it on top of the intermediate pipe. After removing the exhaust intermediate pipe from its location discard it. Installation should begin from the vehicle front but all fasteners should remain relaxed until every component is positioned correctly. Use an abrasive pad to clean the surface area of the exhaust clamp because it contains rust. Position the new exhaust intermediate pipe together with its clamp assembly onto the muffler and tailpipe. The installation starts with cleaning the exhaust coupling surface area then adding a new dual converter exhaust Y-pipe coupling piece to the exhaust intermediate pipe. Transfer the exhaust system to the right position before tightening every clamp to its maximum strength.

Position the vehicle on a hoist with it in NEUTRAL.

Ensure the button on the muffler and tailpipe assembly inlet pipe is fully inserted into the L-notch on the exhaust intermediate pipe.
