Fuel Rail

It is crucial to maintain safety in fuel rail servicing by avoiding areas with potential open flames or smoking because the components contain flammable mixture. First relieve the fuel system pressure and then disconnect the battery ground cable because it serves as a safety precaution. You should first detach the two nuts and bolt and generator air inlet duct. Then disconnect the fuel tube quick connect coupling from the fuel rail. The first step involves removing the two wiring retainers from the fuel rail before taking out its insulator. Move on by disconnecting both swirl control valve electrical connectors then the four fuel injector electrical connectors. Two fuel rail bolts need removal before extracting the fuel rail as an assembly together with its fuel injectors. The technician discards eight fuel injector O-ring seals. Installation of new fuel-resistant material O-ring seals requires engine oil lubrication followed by confirming the fuel rail clips snap into position. The fuel injectors along with their retainers should be inserted into the fuel rail before reinstalling the assembly with its two bolted sections tightened to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft). Connect both swirl control valve electrical connectors along with the four fuel injector electrical connectors. Place the fuel rail insulator onto position before you use the wiring harness retainers to attach them and join the fuel tube quick connect coupling to the fuel rail. Reinstall the generator air inlet duct while securing it with the two nuts and bolt to 6 Nm (53 lb-in) torque specifications and reattach the battery ground cable.

Remove the four fuel rail bolts and take out the fuel rail and injectors as an assembly.

The fuel system remains under high pressure even when the engine is off, which is crucial for safety before disconnecting any fuel tubes or components.

Remove the two fuel rail bolts and take out the fuel rail and fuel injectors as an assembly.
