    Service and repair of the exterior front door handle requires the front door window glass to be completely raised. The first step requires removal of the front door trim panel followed by placement of the watershield to the side. The exterior door handle actuating rod should be detached by opening the clip. The same process should be used to detach the door lock cylinder actuating rod when required from the lock cylinder. After pushing the exterior door handle outward from the bottom you can remove the two attaching nuts at the base of the handle. The installation requires tightening these nuts to 9 Nm (80 lb-in). Before fastening clips ensure both the door handle and front door handle rod are in relaxed state with the rod completely raised and reverse the uninstallation process for finish installation.
