Upper Hose

The first step to service the coolant outlet pipe requires that you drain the cooling system fluid. Begin the coolant outlet pipe service by detaching the thermostat housing then disconnecting the throttle body heater hose together with the degas bottle hose and upper radiator hose from the pipe while setting them aside. There are four bolts which must be removed from the coolant outlet pipe before extracting the pipe. Removal of old seals from the two coolant outlet pipe seals triggers examination before performing new seal installations. The installation of the new outlet pipe requires bolt tightening to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.). Finish the installation by removing the components in reverse order and performing cooling system fluid addition and air removal.

Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
