Water Hose Assembly

Construction and repair work on the coolant crossover manifold starts with disconnecting the ground cable from the battery and draining the engine cooling system. Before beginning detachment of the belt from the generator pulley start by removing the intake manifold while rotating the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise. Before connecting the electrical connector, install new nuts on the generator and fasten them to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). The generator, bracket and wiring harness assembly should be placed aside while you install the bracket-to-coolant crossover bolts at 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.). Separate the components of heater hose and upper radiator hose along with PCV heater hose from coolant crossover manifold assembly. The bolts securing the coolant crossover manifold assembly require removal but the workers need to throw away the gaskets. Use new gaskets for replacement while tightening bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.). You should execute the reverse procedure which finalizes the installation of the vehicle system.

Disconnect the battery ground cable and drain the engine cooling system.
