The removal process starts by disconnecting and untucking both quick connect couplings from the crankcase vent tube and removing the air cleaner outlet pipe. Separate the generator wiring harness retainer from the air cleaner outlet pipe-to-throttle body adapter before you remove its four screws by applying new engine coolant to the seal and tightening everything to 10 Nm (89 lb-in). First disconnect quick connect couplings to remove the PCV tube and afterward separate the electronic throttle control and throttle position sensor together with the heated PCV intake fitting and eight fuel injector electrical connectors. Reinstall the fuel rail by tightening its four bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb-in) after removing them initially. the combination of fuel rail and fuel injectors should come out as one piece before separating the eight fuel injector-to-fuel rail locking clips. New O-ring seals should use material that resists fuel damage and the old rings must be discarded while the new rings need engine oil lubrication before fitting. You should finish the installation process by reversing the steps of removal.

Start by removing positive crankcase ventilation tube through quick connect coupling disconnect while proceeding to disconnect electronic throttle control before taking off throttle position sensor and heated PCV intake fitting as well as the eight fuel injector electrical connectors. The first step is to remove four fuel rail bolts by tightening them to 10 Nm (89 lb-in) before removing the fuel rail and fuel injectors as an assembly. Apply special fuel-resistant O-ring seals which replace the usual ones to avoid leaks between the fuel injector-to-fuel rail locking clips. Prior to disconnecting fuel injectors from the fuel rail it is essential to discard old O-ring seals and apply clean engine oil for lubricating new O-ring seals. Finish the installation by performing the reverse of removal steps while applying oil to the new O-ring seals before installation.
