The electrical connector of the transmission control (TC) switch requires disconnection. First hook up the electrical connector of the TC switch followed by placing the TC switch wire within the selector shaft channel to stop the harness from touching the movement elements. Users must refrain from overtorquing the screw at 3 Nm (27 lb-in) since this can damage components of the shift knob assembly. Place the shift knob base screw hole to match up with the selector shaft before you install its screw which should be secured at 3 Nm (27 lb-in). Put the transmission shift knob assembly back into the vehicle as the last step.
