The next procedure requires the removal of the interior door handle through its clip release. First detach the cable conduit and door latch cable before removing and throwing out the three door latch bolts while tightening the bolts to 8 Nm (71 lb-in) during reinstallation. You must disconnect the door latch electrical connector before pulling out the door latch assembly by moving it forward towards the vehicle front. Conduct the installation process in the opposite direction of removal by applying lubricant to the door latch and striker surfaces.
